32nd FAI World Gliding Championship

Soaring is an event we have been celebrating for the last 26 years and is a part of Uvalde's history. Located in an area of outstanding and consistent soaring, Uvalde has lovingly become known as "The Soar Spot of Texas". Garner Field Airport will be the site of the FAI World Soaring Championships this year. The return of this three-week long worldwide competition, which Uvalde has not hosted since 1991, will bring together pilots from around the world!
