National Soaring Competition
August 3rd-14th
The National Soaring Competition is intended to provide World Class pilots from all over the World with a World Class contest opportunity. Gliding requires a different skill level than flying a regular airplane. The big difference is you have that engine in a plane, a glider pilot has to use coordination with nature to soar on that hot air-not wind as some people think. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!! Read More...

July 25th- Star Gazing @ Fort Inge
Fort Inge Historical Park • 2 miles south of Uvalde, just off of FM140 • The public is invited to come view the stars, planets, and other celestial objects with the Uvalde County Stargazers • No equipment is required, but those attending should bring lawn chairs, binoculars, a small flashlight and bug spray.
